Whew! I'm glad to report that 75% of you believe that Andrew and Emma will get my sense of humor when they grow up. Only 25% thought otherwise, but through the miracle of the internet I was able to to find out who voted against me. So Linda E. Stiff, Agency Executive of the I.R.S., and Scott Thompson (aka Carrot Top), the joke's on you!
As for this week's poll, it will be about Grandma Ichinaga. She went to Peet's Coffee the this past Saturday to buy a few bags of coffee beans. When she went to pay for it at the counter, the cashier said, "Four ninety-five, please." So Grandma Ichinaga gave him five dollars waiting for her nickel back. The cashier looked confused and told her that wasn't enough money. Grandma Ichinaga reiterated that the coffee was four ninety-five. That is when the cashier clarified herself by saying, "No ma'am. It isn't $4.95. It's $49.95." After Grandma cleaned herself up, she asked for some less expensive coffee and left beet red.
You see, Grandma Ichinaga was buying a few bags of that expensive Kona coffee, not the regular house blend. When Grandma Ichinaga returned home she was SO embarrassed she couldn't contain herself. She kept on going on and on and on and on and on and on about it. So much so Emma said her first words: Quiet, woman!
This week I ask you devoted readers: Should Grandma Ichinaga be so embarrassed about this story?
As for a lack of an entry yesterday, Lisa wanted to be a guest blogger but never got around to it. So check back in a few days to see Lisa's venture into peaing.
